EmPower® safety and
independence at home
Promoting a safe living environment, independence, and high quality of life, the
EmPower® program helps clients with impairment of the senses of sight,
sound, smell, touch or taste learn new skills, while modifying their homes
to create a safer living environment.
With specialized services provided by Registered Nurses, Physical Therapists,
Occupational Therapists and Speech Therapists, this in-home program provides
adaptive measures, training, and devices that enable the client to live
a safer and more independent lifestyle. Care is provided under a physician’s
authorization.
Services are generally covered by Medicare and private insurances. Additionally,
adaptive supplies, including talking alarm clocks, safety friction tape,
and bump dots, are provided.
