Hospice...when it's time to do more.
What
is hospice?
Hospice is a special concept of care in which comfort and support
is provided to patients and their families when a life-limiting
illness no longer responds to curative treatment. Hospice neither
prolongs life nor hastens death. In hospice care, the focus is
on comfort and quality of life.
When to consider hospice?
Hospice care is not for everyone with a terminal diagnosis.
However, for those who choose to seek comfort and quality of
life rather than curative treatment, it may be appropriate.
Why choose Home Healthcare Connection?
At Home Healthcare Connection, our goal is to help hospice patients
achieve self-determined life closure, a natural and personal
death. Benefits include teaching and support, guidance through
the dying process, and effective grieving and bereavement support
for the caregiver and family. Our team of nurses, social workers,
home health aides, therapists (when needed), volunteers, and
spiritual counselors provide holistic care, meeting physical,
emotional, and spiritual needs of those we serve. Our team of
pain and symptom management experts are available 24 hours a
day, 7 days a week.
When others say, "There's nothing more we can do," we believe "it's time to do more."
